What Is Trezor Suite? An Honest Review

Trezor Suite is the official desktop (and web) companion for Trezor hardware wallets. It is the place you see balances, send, receive, apply a passphrase, and use coin control on Bitcoin. Like Ledger Live, it is a remote control. The keys stay on the device if you did not do something unfortunate. No sponsorship, no affiliate links. What It Is

An open-source front end talking to an open-source device firmware (with the usual secure-element caveats on newer Safe models). You confirm on the device screen. Suite can also talk to a locally run node, which is the privacy-minded version of not asking Trezor's servers what you own.

Strengths

Transparency. You can inspect what you are running. That is the philosophical reason people buy this brand, and Suite continues it.
Bitcoin coin control lets you pick which UTXOs to spend. Most people never need it. When you do, you are glad it is not buried.
Passphrase support is first-class, which is powerful and easy to lose forever if you invent a passphrase you cannot reproduce. Write the process down before you use it for size.
No Recover-style seed-escrow product in the default story. That is a feature for the people who left Ledger over it.

Weaknesses and Honest Warnings

The web version is a phishing magnet. Bookmark the official Suite app from trezor.io and prefer the desktop build. A fake "Suite" that asks for a seed is the whole attack.
Coin coverage and polish trail Ledger Live on obscure assets. If your life is a long tail of altcoins, check support lists before you buy the device for that reason.
A passphrase plus a forgotten word is a destroyed vault. Suite will not save you. Test recovery on an empty device.
Same rule as every companion: the computer can lie about the address. The device screen is the check.

Who It Is Good For

Trezor owners, Bitcoin-first users who want coin control, and anyone who picked the brand for inspectability. Who it will not help: people who will click through device prompts. The app cannot supply patience. Official download only from the manufacturer.
