Guides and Fixed-Scope Help

Published 2026-08-17. Last updated 2026-08-17. Written by John Alewine, Crypto Guidance Inc.

Written guides you can use on your own, plus a few fixed-scope reviews.
No token picks. No return promises. No one holds your keys but you.

One-on-one work is useful, and it only shows up when the market is loud. The rest of the year people still need to set up a wallet, move a first withdrawal, and not get drained. This page is the version of that help that doesn't require me on the call for every click. If you want me live, that's still consulting. If you'd rather a small room in Kansas City, that's Crypto Workshop KC.

Nothing here is a trade. I've sat through hardware-wallet setups in person, seed phrases written on paper, and large transfers done slowly on purpose. The products below are the parts of that work that can be written down or done as a structured review. They are not a way to get me to pick a coin or to route around a site's own rules.

Who this is for

People who bought crypto on an app and don't trust themselves to move it. People who already have a pile and want a second set of eyes on the setup, not a price target. Families who need a written plan more than a pep talk. If you want someone to deploy money into a meme, manage an account, or hold a seed, this isn't the shop.

Written guides (buy on this site)

These are the questions I answer so often I should have stopped answering them live years ago. Each one is a short PDF you work through on your own machine. Buy opens a Stripe checkout page and then brings you back here to download the file. Consulting packages below are still email or phone, not a card.

Wallet Setup and the Seed You Can Restore ($47). How I walk a first hardware or software wallet: paper, not screenshots, a spare-device restore before any serious amount moves, and what never to type into a website. Pairs with the free restore test and Security pages. The paid file is the longer checklist I use in the room.

Moving Funds Without a Sick Feeling ($47). Test send, network name read out loud, exchange withdrawal vs on-chain, what a stuck transfer usually is. The public version is practical tasks and bridging. The paid version is the same walkthrough with the failure list I keep repeating.

Fees, Spreads, and the Quiet Leak ($37). Spread vs network fee vs bridge fee vs "free" card rewards. How to see what you actually paid on Coinbase, on a DEX, and on a perp deposit. No "best fee" crown.

A Simple Book for What You Hold ($37). A spreadsheet shape I can live with: date, asset, where it lives, cost basis hint, who would find it. Not tax software. Points at the tax guide, 8949, and specific ID. Download is a zip: the PDF plus a blank spreadsheet.

The Usual Ways People Get Drained ($47). Fake support, lookalike sites, address poisoning, token approvals, "I need your seed to help." Written the way I say it when someone is already scared. Free spine: Security.

The Desk Set ($147). All five files. That's the one I'd buy if I were you, because the questions arrive in a clump.

Fixed-scope reviews (low-touch)

These are not open-ended coaching. You send what I ask for. I send a written review. We may use one short call if the package says so. I never take a seed, a screenshot of a seed, or a login. If the pile is large enough that a mistake would change a life, say so up front and we use the custom session instead of squeezing it into a checklist.

Crypto Setup Audit ($497). Async. You fill the intake (below, in the email). I send a written note: what's solid, what's sloppy, what I'd do next week vs later. About two hours of my time, delivered in a few business days. No live walkthrough.

Secure Your Stack ($997). The audit, plus one 60 to 90 minute session to do the next two or three actions together (restore test, watch-only view, first withdrawal, hardware pairing). Still your keys. Still no token list.

Portfolio and Setup Review ($1,497). Allocation and risk in plain English, plus the setup note. Where things live, concentration, what I'd refuse to hold on an exchange overnight. Not a buy list. One session, then a written recap. I am not your adviser of record.

Custom live work ($3,000)

That's the rate I've charged when someone needs me in the room or on a long screen-share for a high-stakes afternoon: hardware wallet on the table, seed on paper, a large transfer done in test-then-full, or a deposit path they've already decided on and just need walked carefully. I will still refuse token picks, I will still refuse to hold keys, and I will not help anyone pretend to be in a country they aren't. If the work is a written audit, buy the audit. Don't pay three thousand to hear a PDF.

How to start

Email [email protected] with the offer name in the subject. Or call or text (479) 283-6457.

For a guide: name the file. For an audit or review, answer these in the same email.

What you already hold, in rough terms, not seed words. Where it lives today (exchange app, software wallet, hardware, you're not sure). What you want done in the next month. Whether anyone else in the family would need to find this. What you've already tried. US person or not, only because tax and venue rules change. Anything you do not want me to watch you do on a call.

If a free page is enough, I'll say so. 9400 Mercier Street, Kansas City, MO 64114. Available remotely.
