Review your old token approvals
An AI chatbot can explain what a token approval is, but only an on-chain check shows which approvals your wallet has actually granted.

More people now ask an AI chatbot what a token approval is. A chatbot can explain the idea. It cannot see which approvals your wallet has granted. Only an on-chain check shows that.
A token approval is permission you grant a smart contract to move specific tokens out of your wallet. Apps commonly request unlimited allowances. The approval stays in place until you revoke it, whether or not you still use the app. If an approved contract is exploited, the attacker can spend everything the allowance covers with no further signature from you.
What I suggest
- Set custom limits where your wallet allows.
- Review and revoke with Revoke.cash a few times a year, and right after touching anything sketchy.
- Keep long-term holdings in a wallet that has approved nothing. That is the two-wallet habit on the Security page.
- Reach the tool by a URL you typed or bookmarked. Legitimate support never asks for your seed phrase.
If you would rather do the review together on a shared screen, that is what consulting is for.
