Never open wallet links from a chat or email
A clone site needs you to click its link, so open your wallet and exchange only from bookmarks you saved yourself.

Phishing is someone pretending to be a site, service, or person you trust. Clone sites sit at lookalike domains, so the page can look right while the address is off.
The clone needs you to click a link. Targeted email and text messages, dressed as exchange security alerts, herd you to log in there. Fake support arrives in DMs with a link of its own. The phishing checklist says it plainly: bookmark real URLs once, and never navigate by ad, DM, or reply link.
The habit
- Save the real wallet and exchange URLs yourself, one time.
- When a chat or email says log in, close it and open your own bookmark.
- If it pushes you to act fast, that urgency is the tell.
Real support never DMs first and never needs your seed phrase. An assistant can explain phishing in general, but a link in a chat or email is still something you open only after you type your own bookmarked URL yourself.
The security page says it too: always verify the URL, and bookmark the real one. If you want a second set of eyes, I sit with people one at a time and never ask for your keys or seed phrase.
