An AI answer can be wrong in quiet ways. It can name the wrong network. It can mix up steps from two different apps. It can describe an older version of the app you have open, so the button it mentions has moved or is gone.
Before you click anything irreversible, check the steps against the wallet or exchange's own official help pages. Then run them against the Moving Funds Safely checklist:
- Pick the network on purpose and match it on both sides. Read the network name out loud.
- Send a small test amount first.
- Confirm the address by checking the first and last characters.
One rule stays short: a seed phrase never goes into any chat window. That includes a chatbot, and it includes anyone who asks for it to help.
